The company I work for was working on a
new product and they invited us to test it before its launch in order to give them feedback. Beta, I started a
heuristic evaluation under the Sirius model which allows obtaining a percentage value on a usability scale. I chose this method for its practicality since the time to send feedback was very limited, in addition to this I included screenshots of the application at that time, accompanied by
observations and recommendations for some cases. The platform reached a percentage of 60.62% which It indicated that although it worked with some difficulties, it also had areas of opportunity.
You can see the full analysis here.
Once the analysis was done, the "supposed" improvements were presented, it is important to mention that they are designated as an assumption, since they were not yet in the phase in which they are
validated by the users. For this, it began by deciphering its information architecture, for which the platform's content tree was mapped, and subsequently a tree test was applied, which allows identifying the most relevant sections based on the platform's objectives. ; Finally, with the results obtained, the sections and their relevance in the composition of the design were defined.
Once the above was done, the main flows that intervened in said sections were developed, seeking at all times to attend to the observations based on the
principles of usability and design that had been reported before, likewise, a benchmarking was carried out to know the way in which other platforms are carrying out projects similar to this one.
The results obtained are included in the compilation that you can see by clicking here.
